Video Blog – A tour of Mycrofilms

January 5, 2009 by oss237

My first experiment into video blogging, one that was so technically frustrating that I gave up on credits and indeed anything fancy, simply uploading the file as it was.

A quick tour of the Mycrofilms‘ office, as we’re deep in pre-production for Vultures episodes 5 & 6, some quick chats with series co-creator John Morton, work experience student Richie Cody and series producer Alan Slattery.

Video blogging, I’m not sure if I’m bothered to be honest. But hey, at least I’m not some fat kid bitching about how people shouldn’t like comics because he doesn’t want to be mainstream cool!? The only reason I’m even attempting “vlogging” (as the cool kids call it), is in an attempt to keep me occupied until we release Vultures episode 4 along with a whole host of behind-the-scenes content.

Anyway, here’s a first attempt at video blogging. As usual any comments, feedback and criticism are welcome even if your a fat kid and want to bitch at me!?

    Cheers for the comment Phil.

Yeah, I’ve got lots of behind-the-scenes stuff to come including a documentary from behind the scenes on the episode 4 shoot, but due to spoilers I have to hold back until the episode premieres.

    Hey Ross,

Not sure where you’re going to take this if it’s just going to frustrate you because all the good stuff can’t be shown yet!

I enjoyed the brief tour though so thanks for that. I find the stuff you’re doing really interesting (and I think the number of questions fired at you lads at PodCamp validates that I’m not alone here) so I guess any stuff you can video blog may be of interest to us.

If you’re stuck for anything else to do I hear Pinkerton’s are hiring ;)

  5. Darren says:

    Happy New Year, Rossa!

I loveses the Vlog. It all looks very exciting there. Keep it up. Looking forward to seeing some more Behind the Scenes stuff.

    Cheers John

I figured that until I can relieve my frustrations and release “the good stuff” I’d show people some of the pre-production side. It’s not exactly exciting but it makes up such a huge part of the production and I just wanted people to see how much time and effort goes into it.

I’d be happy to cover any particular areas of interest so if you have any questions or areas you’d like to know about then just let me know dude! And remember…say NO to Pinkertons in this town!

    Hey Darren

Happy New Year dude and cheers for the comment. Plenty of juicy behind-the-scenes goodies to come!
